Mission Brilliancy

Mission Brilliancy was a Final Project given in my freshman year of college at CCM. This project required students to create an environment inside CCM's Light Lab that incorporated lighting, sound, and scenery.
The concept was chosen by my group and I was a nightclub in heaven being taken over by hell. To challenge me as well as the group we used mannequins to bounce light off of. I paid much attention to their irregularity, curvature, and placement within the room to control what each audience member would see from their perspective. The first half of the presentation symbolized heaven with smooth transitions and soft color choices. The second half represented hell taking over. Quick transitions, saturated color choices, and an abundance of haze helped set the mood for the audience.
